Terms of Use (EULA) - First Date

Last updated: 2 August 2026

Use of the app

First Date is a private journal and date-planning utility. It is not a dating service, matchmaking platform, emergency service, medical product, or professional advice product. It does not match you with anyone, host a profile, provide a feed, or message anyone on your behalf.

Licence

You are granted a non-transferable licence to use First Date on any Apple-branded device you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms of Use. This is the licence agreement referred to in the App Store listing.

Subscriptions

First Date Pro is offered as monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple StoreKit.

Safety features

The check-in feature schedules local notifications and pre-fills a message to a contact you chose, which you send yourself. It does not contact emergency services, does not share live location, and is not a monitoring or personal-security service. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number.

User responsibility

You control what you save, who you contact, and whether you send any safety message. Do not journal about minors, keep content you do not have permission to keep, or publish another person's private profile details.

No warranty and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is". We work to keep it reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under Australian Consumer Law or other non-excludable consumer protections.
